Location, location, location

Choosing where to invest an exhibition budget depends on reaching the right geographical markets and the right potential customers. Exhibitors explain why Istanbul’s position between regions is bringing them to the Landscape Istanbul Fair 2026.

Where horticulture meets new markets

When it comes to buying a home, the familiar saying is that it is all about location, location, location. The same principle can apply when businesses decide which trade exhibitions deserve their marketing investment. Producers and suppliers have many reasons for exhibiting, but access to the right audience, and therefore potential future customers, must rank among the most important. For companies preparing to exhibit at Landscape Istanbul Fair 2026, Istanbul’s geographical position is a central part of that decision. Taking place from 7–10 October 2026 in Türkiye’s largest city, the fair connects the ornamental horticulture and landscaping industries across Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, the Balkans and markets further afield. Its location is particularly significant for international exhibitors seeking new commercial opportunities beyond their domestic markets.

Why international exhibitors are choosing Istanbul

For international growers, the fair offers an opportunity to understand regional demand, establish new partnerships and meet buyers beyond their domestic markets. Three first-time exhibitors explain what is bringing them to Istanbul in 2026.

CLEMATIS, Poland

“As a leading producer of quality plants from Poland, being present at the most important international exhibitions is a crucial part of our business strategy.

We recognise Landscape Istanbul Fair’s importance in Eurasia and believe our presence will give us a clearer view of the market while connecting us with other significant global horticultural producers.”

Mina Tsonkova Senior Sales Strategy and Marketing Specialist, CLEMATIS The Source of Good Climbers

IF Plants, Spain

“We chose to participate in LIF 2026 because we see strong potential for Spanish ornamental plants in Türkiye and growing demand among landscape professionals, importers and contractors across the Middle East and the Balkans.

As a rapidly evolving international trade fair in a strategic location connecting these markets, Landscape Istanbul Fair provides an ideal platform for building long-term partnerships and supporting our expansion in the region.”

Emilie Rollet Marketing Manager, IF Plants

Taiwan Orchid Growers Association

“We chose to participate in Landscape Istanbul Fair 2026 because of its comprehensive coverage of landscaping, horticulture, plant production and related technologies.

Under our theme, ‘Blooming Taiwan’, we aim to introduce the quality and diversity of Taiwanese orchids while gaining a better understanding of the Turkish and regional markets.”

A meeting point for Türkiye’s ornamental sector

The international opportunity is equally important to Türkiye’s growers and industry organisations.

Boğaziçi Plant Production & Landscape views the Landscape Istanbul Fair as more than a trade fair: it is a meeting point that helps shape the future of the industry.

Mahmut Akbacakoğlu of Boğaziçi Bitkisel Üretim says: “Alongside the high-quality outdoor ornamental plants we produce, we will be showcasing special plant collections sourced from Türkiye’s leading growers and our European business partners. We are participating in this fair with the aim of developing new partnerships, expanding our export network and further enhancing the international standing of the Turkish ornamental plant sector.”

Turkish producers also recognise Istanbul’s geographical importance.

Ahmet Dündar, Chairman of SÜSBİR, the Turkish Ornamental Plants Growers Association, describes the Landscape Istanbul Fair as more than a trade event: “It is a meeting point where we come together every year to listen to one another, develop new ideas and discuss the future of the sector together.”

He adds: “Every new connection made here, every collaboration undertaken and every experience shared contributes to a positive future.”
