Discover the diversity and innovation of Italian horticulture through a curated programme of professional visits across the Puglia region.

Delegates will visit four leading nurseries, gaining first-hand insight into production systems, plant selection, and business approaches. These visits also provide valuable time for informal conversations and relationship-building, creating space to connect with peers and strengthen the international AIPH network.

Vivai Capitanio

Situated in the countryside surrounding Monopoli, Vivai Capitanio specialises in outdoor ornamental plants. The nursery produces more than 500 varieties over 50 hectares, with an additional 10 hectares of greenhouses used for the propagation, acclimatization and cultivation of sub-tropical plants.

Florpagano

A family business, Florpagano was founded in 1968 by Antonio Pagano when he began growing tropical plants in his father’s converted attic. Today, the company produces, processed, and markets over 2 million potted plants, distributing them throughout Italy and neighbouring European countries.

Primavita

Primavita specialises in the production and propagation of over 600 species of Mediterranean ornamental plants. The nursery includes mother plant fields for the production of cuttings and seeds, shade houses for growing young shoots, and a greenhouse.

Auricchio

Mediterranean plant specialists, Auricchio cultivates more than 150 different species. The company has expanded its facilities with cutting-edge greenhouses, capable of not only ensuring the quality of the plants but also recreating the ideal growing conditions for each variety.
